LOST iN

LOST iN presents its creative audience with an immersive experience of a place's essence, including its flavours, sounds and the people who shape its unique character. How could the travel guide publisher preserve its relevance amid pandemic travel restrictions?

Reimagining Experiential Travel

Scope:

Editorial Curation
Editorial Conception
Editorial Direction
Editorial Management

When the pandemic made travel impossible, LOST iN needed to pivot its content to remain relevant. The answer was to craft powerful narratives around the global health, sports and well-being trends that emerged during lockdowns. I curated, conceptualised and led the editorial direction and management of the LOST iN Sweat edition, featuring six destinations: Amsterdam, Berlin, Copenhagen, London, Paris and Stockholm.

The editorial strategy was to spotlight creatives passionate about sports, healthy food and well-being and give them a platform to share their insights and stories. Selected protagonists, including Copenhagen-based chef Mikkel Karstad, Berlin-based photographer Konrad Langer, London-based writer and curator Lou Stoppard and Stockholm-based chef and trail runner Billy White, among others, unravelled their transformative relation to the key theme and included their secret tips for the best local experience of their cities.

By re-focusing its narrative on a globally emerging trend, LOST iN was able to offer conceptual travel to a broader worldwide audience, remain relevant and scale during the travel ban.
